Traditionally, utility work has been seen as being either upstream of the meter - work outside a property - or downstream - work inside a property. In recent years, however, the liberalisation of upstream markets has led to agile and flexible utility contractors being able to offer a complete package of both upstream and downstream services.

Turriff has been in the vanguard of these changes, and now offers commercial, social housing and private developer clients a variety of services downstream of the meter. For example, Turriff has 30 Gas Safe registered gas engineers who can check, install, maintain and repair both commercial and domestic gas heating systems. Turriff has also developed a similar capability to respond to both the downstream water and electricity requirements of its clients.

Remember - Turriff is GIRS accredited and can connect new industrial, commercial and domestic properties to the mains; Turriff is also OAMI accredited which allows it to install gas meters; and, Turriff has Gas Safe registered gas engineers for downstream operations.
