Gas - Mains Replacement

Turriff has worked continuously on Scotland's gas mains for Scotland Gas Networks - and its predecessor. Transco - since 1986.

Background - Scotland Gas Networks

Turriff is currently one of Scotland Gas Networks' Engineering Period Contractors and is playing a vital role in the mains replacement programme which seeks to replace old metallic pipe with polyethylene.

All of Turriff's gas operatives are Energy and Utility Skills Council (EUS) registered for mains laying, service pipework, and ancillary activities. The company has a fully integrated training programme which has been fundamental to its ability to successfully grow and compete.

Through its sister company, Underground Moling Services (UMS), Turriff is able to offer a wide range of 'no-dig' or 'trenchless' pipelaying and rehabilitation techniques including directional drilling, impact moling and pipe ramming. To find out more about the services provided by UMS click here.

Major gas works is just one of Turriff's many utility infrastructure services.
